Wedding Ceremonies

As a HAI celebrant, I am a  HSE-registered wedding solemniser which means that I can sign your legal paperwork so that everything is signed, sealed and delivered on the one day.

As your wedding celebrant my role is one of co-creation, or collaborative innovation, where I guide and assist you in the creation of your own unique ceremony.

We can choose Readings, Poems, Music and Reflections to make your day personal and a day both you and your guests will cherish and remember.  You may also wish to include Symbolism and Rituals as part of your wedding day.

What next?

This is the most common question I get asked by couples who just don't know where to start the process.

Steps

Please click on my Contact Us button and fill out the form with your relevant information (Name, Email/Mobile Number, Wedding Date & Wedding Venue).

We can then have an initial conversation by phone and if you are happy to proceed, we will meet either in person or by video conference call to discuss your ceremony in more detail.

This meeting normally takes about an hour during which I will explain how everything works.

If you then decide to proceed, I will forward you a Letter of Confirmation with more detailed information.   This information will include your Wedding Day format along with sample scripts – readings, poems, rituals/symbolism.

Based on the information and instructions gathered from you at our consultation, I will compose a first wedding ceremony draft which I will email to you as soon as possible after our meeting.

On instruction from you I will then edit and amend the script until you are 100% happy.

Finally, I’ll send you a Final Draft with all requested amendments for your approval and sign off.

On the big day I will arrive at your venue an hour before the designated wedding ceremony time and perform your ceremony with warmth and reverence while making your guests feel welcome and included.

I will introduce readers; stage manage rituals, and ensure the ceremony runs smoothly for you.

Choose a Date - Weddings can take place on any day of the week so you are not tied to the traditional Friday or Saturday dates. I am available any day of the week.

Pick your venue and book your Celebrant– Once you agree your wedding date and book your venue, the next step is to book your Celebrant who is your legal solemniser.

As a Legal Solemniser I can sign your Marriage Registration Book (The Green Folder) on the day of your Wedding.

Book an Appointment with the HSE Civil Registration Office

Once you have your date, venue and celebrant booked the next step is to book an appointment with the HSE’s Civil Registration office.

Give plenty of time for this as the HSE Civil Registration Offices tend to be busy.

Once you secure your appointment and meet the Registrar in person - by law - there is a three-month period before you can be wed.

What do I need to have for the HSE?

Before you start the Process with the HSE you will need to have the following:

- Your Wedding Date, Venue, Celebrant Solemniser, and your Witness details.
